TOEFL Test

The Test of English as a Foreign Language, otherwise known as TOEFL, is a standardised English language test that can be used to enrol in English-speaking universities, or for migration purposes. It tests your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills.

All parts of this test will be conducted on the same day and will take a total of 4 hours. The reading and listening tests will be conducted first, followed by a 10-minute break, and then the speaking and writing components.

Reading

The reading section includes three-four academic passages. You will be given 60-80 minutes to read the passages and answer 35-56 questions.

The reading texts come from academic sources and vary in subject matter. However, no particular subject knowledge is needed as all necessary information is included in the text.

listening

The listening section consists of 4-6 classroom conversations and academic lectures. You will be given 60-92 minutes to answer a total of 34-51 questions.

Writing

You will have 50 minutes to complete the writing test. It will include two tasks. The first task will take 20 minutes. You will write an essay in response to a reading or listening text.

The second task will take 30 minutes. You will write an essay in which you will be required to support an opinion.
